DIY wall decoration made from cork coasters
Pretty, practical and super easy to recreate! With a few cork coasters and a few tools, you can create a beautiful and useful wall decoration. You will need
- Cork coasters
- Fabric scraps or colored paper
- Adhesive & Tape
- Pen & Scissors
- Pushpins
- thread

Here's how:
Take the cork coaster and place it on your decorative paper or fabric as a measurement. Here you can decide how big the bag should be, in which you can later hold small things like postcards, photos or dried flowers. Use a pencil to mark the size of the bag and use the cork coaster as a template. Then cut the paper or fabric along the line.
Step 1: Cutting
Place the cut-out pocket on the cork coaster and position it so that it fits on the edge of the coaster. The next step is to attach the paper or fabric with either solid or liquid glue or pin it in place. Make sure to only attach the edge of the semicircle. This creates a small opening at the top into which you can put a postcard or something similar as a test.
Step 2: Fasten
Now all you need is something to hang the little pin board on! To do this, cut some thread in any color and length you want. You can now attach the thread to the back with adhesive tape or liquid glue. Done!
Step 3: Hang and fill!
Now you have a small pin board with pockets that you can fill up as you like! The pocket is perfect for holding Pickmotion postcards or photo strips . But you can also use it for other small items like pens, dried flowers or photos. You can of course also use the rest of the space as a pin board and also hold small messages or pictures.

If you like, you can also paint your cork board in bright colors or cut it into a certain shape (such as a half moon)! There really are no limits to your creativity and the more small pin boards you have, the more space you have for your favorite postcards and photos. Of course, a pin board like this also makes a wonderful gift for friends or family!
