Hi Rossella, it's so nice to welcome you to the PICKMOTION family! Would you like to introduce yourself first? Who are you, where are you from, where do you live now? Tell us a bit about your personal background!
You are a digital artist! When did you discover digital art and develop your style?
I work as a part-time graphic designer. I have always loved photography and art. When the Covid pandemic hit, I couldn't take photos because of the quarantine. So I decided to get more involved in digital manipulation and quickly realized that I love this type of art too.
Your IG feed is filled with the most beautiful photo manipulations, mostly featuring animals and plants. Does nature have a special meaning for you? What is your favorite animal?
When I was a child, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents' country house. That's why nature is my main source of inspiration, because I grew up with it. I love all animals, but my favorites are definitely cats and deer.
Where else do you find inspiration and why?
I look for inspiration mainly in nature, but also in my feelings and dreams. I always try to express what I am feeling through my pictures.
Tell us a little about your creative process! Do you work with your own images or do you find them elsewhere?
At first I used photos that I took myself. Currently I use photos that I downloaded from the internet (without copyright of course) and use them as a basic structure for new images.
When and why did you start sharing your pictures on Instagram?
About 5 years ago. First I shared photos I took myself and then I moved on to digital manipulation.
Do you have a favorite image you created? Can you tell us the story behind it?
My favorite painting is the one with the sheep wearing a scarf and a hat. The idea came to me after a dream I had the night before. I dreamt of a relaxing place where I was surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and a blue sky. When I woke up, I felt so relaxed and had to convey this feeling with a painting!
How do you relate to your Instagram community? Do you communicate a lot with your followers?
Oh yes! I have met so many interesting people and artists on Instagram. Some of them have become good friends.
Can you tell us some of your favorite Instagrammers who inspire you?
There are many artists on Instagram that I love, some of them are @zakeazy @cotton.tv @hey.luisa @n.rico @kazuyukikawahara
Do you still enjoy writing postcards? Do you have a favorite postcard that you once received?
To be honest, it's been many years since I last sent a postcard. But whenever I travel, I like to buy postcards as a souvenir of the places I visit.

Yes, I knew about Pickmotion. I think working with you is a great opportunity for artists who want to make their art known.
Would you like to tell us a little story or anecdote at the end? Feel free to tell us whatever comes to mind!
I would love to share my passion for Japan and its culture. In the future, I would love to visit the country to see its artwork and architectural style. I also love the Kawaii culture, I find it adorable!
