Fun activites at Weißensee
Weißensee is a wonderful place to stroll and relax by yourself or with friends. If you want to get to know new people and hear exciting stories on the side, you should take a look at the initiative "Weißensee erzählt seine Geschichte(n)" (Weißensee tells its story(s))! The initiative likes to organize joint walks and guided tours through the neighbourhood and tell personal and historic stories about the area.
When you take a walk around the lake Weißen See, you will most likely see two white peaks sticking out from behind some trees. This is the roof of the open-air stage at Weißensee! With the start of the season in May, you can attend plays, concerts and even an open-air cinema here. Only a few minutes’ walk away from the open-air stage, you will reach the Mirbachplatz. In the center stands a church tower from the former Bethanien Church, which was unfortunately destroyed in the Second World War. Around the tower, you will find various restaurant, cafés and shops! The antiquarian bookshop “Antiquariat Berliner Lesesalon” is particularly recommended for browsing through historic books. If you fancy a snack, you should check out “Natas Berlin”. A Portuguese baker always prepares the famous "Pastel de Nata" which are simply delicious! Finally, you should stop by “Eisspatz” and try their delicious ice creams (like elderflower-strawberry-mint or vanilla ice cream with roasted pumpkin seeds)!

If you’re looking for a creative break, Mandarie might be the spot for you! They offer different courses such as course in pottery or a workshop for creating comics which are suitable for children, teenager and adults! Check out their schedule on their website to learn more.
Beautiful plants and flowers as well as stunning dried flowers can be purchased in the small but cozy flower shop called Blumen Holm! Whether you have a particular bouquet in mind or want to have something more individual, the staff is happy to put something together with extra love and effort. Why not take the time to surprise your loved ones with a pretty bouquet or reward yourself with some pretty flowers?!

For a relaxing time-out, you can let yourself go in the so-called “Salzperle”. Take a deep breath in the natural salt room or in the floating pool filled with body-warm salt water to simply take some time for yourself. If you want to be really pampered, you can also treat yourself to a soothing massage.
Snacks & treats at Weißensee
If you're feeling hungry, you will have a big selection of lunches at Weißensee, too! Of course, the Pickmotion team has already had a good go here! Here are our highlights:
Extremely fresh, super tasty and on top of that vegan food is what you can find at MOJEWA Kitchen. They serve surritos (a cross between a sushi and a burrito) and a large selection of SuBowls (= Sushi Bowls). The people are also super nice and you can pay with your visa card! What else could you want?

You can also find many delicacies at the market Antonplatz. The booth with African dishes as well as the fish truck and the coffee booth are a clear recommendation from the Pickmotion Team. By the way, right next door is the Toni cinema, where you can watch great film highlights on a big screen.
If you fancy a delicious brunch or want to sip a nice cup of coffee, you should visit Babuschka, a Russian kitchen manufactuary. Of course, they also offer warm meals and you can have a go on Russian specialties such as Pelmeni or Wareniki.
Berlin Burger Lover is a great spot to have a nice, juicy burger. They offer a variety of different types of burgers and also vegetarian and vegan options are available!

For a good meal in between, there are also some nice restaurants we can recommend: Konnopke’s Imbiss offers a real Berlin lunch, while Café & Bistro Happa Happa serves delicious paninis and fantastic cakes. Masala Imbiss and Sahara Imbiss both offer delicious oriental food, while the latter one will spoil you with extra peanut sauce.
If you're looking for a tasty drink to finish off the evening, you don't have to look far: The Bademeister Bar offers the best cocktails and refreshing drinks! It never gets boring either, because every Monday their Instagram account presents a new drink of the week! It's definitely worth a visit!
