As you probably don’t even have a little eternity but merely a few days to spend here – just like us at the Maison&Objet this trade show season – here are some key things you don’t wanna miss in our #awalkthrough Paris. Cover picture by @missismacchiato.
No trip to Paris is quite complete without paying a visit to la Tour Eiffel. To capture its full grace and beauty, you might wanna take a look at – and photo of – it from underneath, while standing on top of it or even from far away. Or maybe even with your special someone. It’s the city of love after all.
You can also see the Eiffel Tour from the rooftop of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. The Galarie is one of the ‘Grands Magasins’ of Paris. There is not only fancy fashion to be experienced here (but there is lots of it). There are, for example, also baking courses for the world-famous Macarons.
You might wanna experience Paris via your taste buds (let’s be real, you’d be crazy if you wouldn’t!) – which the city offers plenty of opportunity for. How about the classic French wine and cheese combo or some sweet, sweet pastries? Paris has loads of little Boulangeries and Patisseries to satisfy your sugar cravings. Especially picturesque ones are waiting in Montmartre – but wherever you are in the city, a fresh coffee plus croissant is simply the perfect match for a perfect Parisienne morning!
With fashion and cuisine covered, it’s time to talk art. Everyone has heard about the Louvre for a reason. It’s simply a stunning place and you can easily spend a whole day inside. If you’ve been already (just go again?!) or are looking for a more intimate flair, the Musée de l’Orangerie is a great destination, too. It is most famous for its display of Claude Monet’s Water Lilies. Alternatively, you can head over to the Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris which is a stunning place to visit for both, art and architecture!
Finally, the parks of Paris are also worth noticing. Our favourite one is Parc des Buttes Chaumont which feature a beautiful lake as well as bridges, waterfalls – and a stunning view on the city as well.
