Valentine's Day gift for your partner
Surely there are many reasons why your partner is someone special to you. Your sweetheart always knows how to make you laugh, is always there for you and even shares his or her favourite meal with you! But did you ever tell them all the things you appreciate about them? Let them know with a jar filled with reason why you love them!
For this idea you will need:
- Coloured paper or our template
- Coloured pens
- Scissors
- Jar (with or without lid)
Take a moment and write down all the reasons why you love your sweetheart on colourful little pieces of paper. If you sign up for our newsletter by 2pm on 12.02.22, you will even give you a template to print out and write on! Cut out the snippets and then fold them up so that you can't read everything straight away.
Next, find a nice jar (with or without a lid) in which you can collect all your reasons. Decorate your jar with a bow or a handmade heart that tells you what is hiding in the jar, and you have a super nice and personal surprise for your darling! Your darling can now pick out a snippet whenever he or she misses you or needs a few loving words and will immediately be cheered up by your personal words!
Small gifts for your loved ones!
Why not use Valentine’s Day and let your friends know how you feel about them? With similar snippets full of loving words, you can also make a cute little gift for your best friends! How about in the form of little fortune biscuits?
For this idea you will need:
- Coloured paper or our template
- Coloured foam rubber
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun or fabric glue
Use our template, which you will receive for free in our newsletter to print out on 12.02.2022, or take some coloured paper and prepare little snippets yourself. Next, write down all the reasons that make your friends special in your eyes or that you particularly appreciate about them.
Now get the foam rubber ready and draw round shapes of the same size on it with a pencil. Tip: You can use a glass, cup or small bowl as a template so that the circles are even. Cut out the circles.
Now fold the circles into a semicircle and glue them together at the top with some textile glue or hot glue. Make sure that the sides remain open so that you can insert the small messages there later. Now press the smooth side of the half circle with your finger and glue the two sides together again. Your fortune cookie is finished!
Fold your snippets and slide them into one of the open sides of your fortune biscuit. Add them to a small package for your loved ones or use them as a lovely table decoration at a dinner party!
DIY Matchbox with a love message
You can also send wonderful loving messages with a small matchbox!
For this idea you need:
- A matchbox
- Black and gold paper
- Golden sharpie
- Scissors
- Glue
Empty your matchbox and use it as a template on the black and gold paper. Cut two squares from the black paper to fill the front and inside of the box. You will also need one square of gold paper, but make sure that the length extends slightly beyond the box.
Before you glue the black paper onto the matchbox, draw a small circle on the right half of the sheet and cut it out with scissors. Put the paper on the matchbox and trace the circle on the box. Cut out the circle there too and now glue the paper onto the box. Now you should have a small hole in the box. Fold the sides of the golden paper down so that the sides are facing inside the matchbox. Use some glue to fix the golden paper there. Cut off the last piece of black paper on the left side in the shape of a half circle. Glue the result onto the golden paper. Now write on the black paper with the golden sharpie - draw little stars and write the text "I love you to the moon and back" on the front. Slide the box into the pack and your love message is ready! When you pull out the box, a little moon will appear to make your message even clearer!
