DIY Wall Decoration made from Cork Coasters
Pretty, practical and super easy to make! With a few cork coasters and some tools, you can create a cute and useful wall decoration. All you need are:
- Cork coaster
- Fabric scraps or colourful paper
- Glue & tape
- Pencil & scissors
- Pins
- String

This is how it works:
Take the cork coaster and place it as a measure on your decorative paper or fabric. This is a part where you can decide for yourself how big the pouch on your wall hanging should be. It will be great to hold small things such as postcards, photos or dried flowers. Draw the size of the bag with a pencil and use the cork coaster as a template. Then cut the paper or fabric along the line.
Step 1: Cut out
Place the cut-out pouch on top of the cork coaster and position it so that it fits on the edge of the coaster. The next step is to attach the paper or fabric with either solid or liquid glue or pin it in place. Make sure you only attach the edge of the half circle. This will create a small opening at the top where you can already stick a postcard or something similar inside as a test.
Step 2: Secure the fabric or paper
All that's missing now is something to hang the little pinboard on! Cut some thread in any colour and length you like. You can now glue the thread to the back with adhesive tape or liquid glue. That's it!
Step 3: Hang up and fill!
Now you have a small pinboard with pockets that you can fill up as you like! The bag is perfect for holding Pickmotion postcards or photostrips. But you can also use it for other small things such as pens, dried flowers or photos. Of course, you can also use the rest of the surface as a pinboard to hold small messages or pictures.

If you like, you can also paint your cork wall in any colours you like or cut it into a certain shape (like a half moon)! There really are no limits to your creativity and the more pinboards you make, the more space you have for your favourite postcards and photos!
