All materialis for your Guess Who? Game
And this is how you make your own “Guess who?” boardgame:
Start by printing our game template twice and glue it on some thicker paper such as cardboard to make the game board sturdier. Place your game board on a cutting mat und use a scalpel to cut three sides of every square. Make sure to not cut the last side of the square, so you can fold it open. Repeat with the second game board.
Step-by-Step to your game
Next, think about whose pictures you would like to have on your game board! Search for pictures (portrait pictures work best) and place them into our template for portraits so you get the right sizing for the game board. In this part you get to be as creative as you like and design the perfect game for you or someone else by choosing pictures from friends, families, celebrities, pets or even own illustrations. Print your choice of pictures three times (twice for the game board and once to draw from later) und cut them out. Finally, glue one set of faces on each game board – but remember to leave the very first field at the beginning empty! You should also try to not put the faces in the same order as the first game board to make the game a bit more difficult.
Choose your own pictures to make a unique game!
Put the third set of photos in a bag or a small box - this is the lottery pot from which the faces will be drawn at random at the beginning of the game. Attach a paper clip to the first square on your game board to hold the face that you will draw during the game. That's it: your own "Guess who?" game is ready!
If you want to give the game as a gift, it's best to write down the rules and you will have an ingenious, unique present! For all those who can't remember the rules, here's an overview of how to play:
"Guess who?" is a fun game for two players! Each player gets a game board and unfolds all the faces. Then a face is drawn from the lottery pot and pinned to the front square. Now you have to guess which person your opponent has drawn. Take turns asking a question that can be answered with either "yes" or "no". Depending on the answer, you can fold down the faces that do not match the description.
Example:
Question: "Does your person have blonde hair?"
Answer: "No."
→ all persons who have blonde hair can be folded down, as the description does not match the drawn person of your opponent.
Take turns asking each other questions until you have an idea who the person might be. Instead of asking a question about the person, you can ask directly if the person you are looking for is "XY". If you guess correctly, you win! If you guess wrong, just keep playing and your opponent is next.
Your Guess Who? game is complete!
As simple and basic as the game may sound, it is a lot of fun for everyone involved! What's special about your own version is that you don't have to limit yourself to just looks, but you can also ask more personal questions that you know or should know about the person. A question like: "Does the person have a pet?" is probably not obvious from the picture, but makes the game all the more exciting and amusing! The game is also a great way to get to know everyone even better.
