DIY FLOWER CANDLES - #GIFTINGMAKESUSHAPPY

For your Flower Candles you will need:

• Candles
• Flowers of your choice
• a book to dry your flowers
• a paintbrush or a spoon
• a tealight

Besides the candles of your choice, you will also need some beautiful flowers! Take a nice walk outside and pick some fresh flowers or buy some at a flower shop. If you prefer a more autumnal look, you can also look for some small and colourful leaves! Once you’re back home, grab a book and carefully place your flowers or leaves between some pages, close the book and let the plants dry in it overnight. Tip: Before putting the flowers inside, place a piece of baking paper between the pages of your book to prevent potential stains from the plants!

On the next day, light a tea light, set out your candles and dried flowers and grab a brush or spoon. Tip: Prepare a piece of newspaper or kitchen paper as a base to protect your table from wax stains! Place one of the flowers onto your candle, dip your brush or the tip of a spoon into the melted wax of the tea light and use it to dab the flower onto your candle. You can decide for yourself at what height and how many kinds of flowers you would like to attach to your candle, just make sure that the flowers are not directly on top of each other. Try to not use too much wax, otherwise the beautiful colours of the flowers might disappear under the dried wax.
