Where exactly is your store located? What does it look like there?
Our shop "Resis kleine Freuden" can be found in the heart of Saalfelden, a town in the state of Salzburg. It is colorful, cheerful, but also elegant and stylish. Resis offers a wide selection of gift items for children and adults, decorative and lifestyle items, as well as a small but fine selection of furniture.
What is the basic concept of your store?
The Resis is not just an ordinary retail store, but a place where you can feel good and experience great things. That's why we hold a creative workshop at least once a month (such as watercolor painting, hand lettering, stamping folding cards, etc.). In addition, we always come up with very special events for our customers, for example the first scavenger hunt will take place in the Resis at the beginning of August.
However, issues such as sustainability, animal and environmental protection, and fair production are also very important to us. We carefully check how, where and by whom the goods we select for our concept store are manufactured. This is precisely why we give priority to products from Austria and neighboring countries. In general, you will find a lot of small labels and start-ups from Austria and Germany who often lovingly handcraft their products themselves.
How do you think you fit in with Pickmotion? How did you find Pickmotion?
We are innovative, always on the lookout for new trends and real Instagram fanatics. We discovered most of the great, small brands that we now sell in the store on social media. We want to put a smile on the faces of people who enter our store and make their day a little bit more beautiful. That's exactly what the cards and magnets from Pickmotion do - we see it every day. We discovered the Pickmotion products in a bookstore in Salzburg and were immediately impressed by your concept.
What is special about your shop? How do you use the advantages of brick-and-mortar retail? How do you differentiate yourself from other shops and/or online shops?
I personally love brick-and-mortar retail because, as a shop owner, it offers me countless opportunities to present products in different ways and combine them with each other. Our customers can touch all the products before they buy them, many things can be tested (such as our natural cosmetic products) and our sweet treats are also regularly tasted. In addition to the personal customer service, this is an experience that you won't find in online shops. What's special about Resis is that nothing is ordinary with us. The more unusual, the better - this applies not only to our products, but also to our advertising materials and the furnishings in the shop.
What do you like most about Pickmotion? Which products do you like best?
There is actually no product from Pickmotion that we don't like. There is a suitable motif or a suitable saying for every occasion and the two card stands with the Pickmotion cards that decorate our store entrance are always an absolute hotspot for customers. There is laughter, the sayings are read out loud and everyone has found their own personal favorite card. The mini picks also fit perfectly on every parcel that we wrap for our customers on request - so the gifts are a joy just to look at.
