As a self-taught photographer, she began to gain experience mainly with family shoots, but quickly realized that she wanted to pursue a much broader spectrum of photography. "I couldn't just take photos in one direction, I would get too bored," she says. "I like learning new photographic techniques." These include time stack photography as well as still life and a technique called bokeh panorama.

Her Instagram feed is dominated by animals, cities and landscapes. When asked about it, she tells us how much she loves taking photos of the city. "I love capturing the beauty of our city, even if it's foggy, wet or snowy - or just capturing nature in the city." It also gives her the opportunity to immerse herself in the beauty of the different seasons - moody summer days with stormy skies, the unique colors of spring and autumn or atmospheric winter light - even if her fingers freeze on the shutter button in winter.

Of course, she also enjoys taking photos when she travels and while she mainly uses Instagram to share her other photography, she still has people in front of the camera. You can see more of this work on her website !

Although Holly finds it easier to take photos of people, she especially loves having animals in front of the lens. "I love showing their personalities and I also love the challenge because it's not always easy to get the end result you want." In addition, she enjoys putting a smile on other people's faces through her photos.

However, she admits that her furry friends are not always cooperative. Often, it is easier to work with her dog Oliver, as dogs are generally easier to train and she has spent more time training him than her cats Alice and Finnegan. But in our opinion, they do their job more than well!

When it comes to her photography style, Holly tells us how much she has evolved over time. "You have to see the world with your own eyes," she says. "Many people have told me that they know a photo is mine - even before they see my name." Although she loves photography, she still considers it a very demanding profession. "I'm not sure what I would do if I could go back in time. Maybe I would pursue photography more as a hobby," she confides.
