Siebter Himmel is located in the heart of Cologne, in the popular Belgian Quarter on Brüsseler Straße.
WHAT IS THE BASIC CONCEPT OF YOUR STORE?
Our “Siebter Himmel” concept store was born out of the conviction that books and design can be combined to create a special shopping experience. In a total of seven theme worlds, we satisfy our customers’ curiosity about unusual products, their demands on quality and their desire for personal recommendations. With our know-how and our passion for literature and beautiful things (fashion & design), we put together an assortment for our customers that cannot be found anywhere else in this form. With us, you can expect the unexpected and be inspired.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR SHOP? HOW DO YOU USE THE ADVANTAGES OF STATIONARY RETAIL? HOW DO YOU DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF FROM OTHER SHOPS AND/OR WEB SHOPS?
Our concept store is deliberately not set up as a typical stationary bookstore that wants to compete with the large inner-city bookstores or the well-known online providers. We are rethinking the book trade and showing that a lot is possible despite the not always easy framework conditions. We rely on a valuable mix of different brands and ranges. We keep surprising our customers with new thematic presentations. We invite you to linger and discover. In short: we offer something special. We focus on high quality and only recommend out of conviction.
IN YOUR OPINION, HOW DOES YOUR SHOP FIT WITH PICKMOTION AND ITS PRODUCTS? HOW DID YOU BECOME AWARE OF PICKMOTION?
With PICKMOTION, we primarily associate postcards that are clearly different from others that you can usually buy: The special format and the polaroid design make these postcards unique. In this respect, the beautiful PICKMOTION products are perfectly fitting to our store, because we show what is special. With us, shopping becomes an experience.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT PICKMOTION? WHICH PRODUCTS ARE YOUR FAVOURITES?
As already said, these are the postcards for us, especially the little postcards with the beautiful illustrations and the original texts. Regardless of whether the motifs are flowers, funny animals or beautiful patterns – postcards from PICKMOTION always ensure good vibes and a good mood.
