Where exactly is your shop located? What does it look like?
Our shop is located at Martinistrasse 16 in Hamburg’s Eppendorf district. A bit off the main shopping street, but still good and easy to reach but without the hustle and bustle of the crowds.
What’s the basic concept of the shop?
Our shop is mainly a studio and a workshop, but meanwhile, we also are a concept store. We have perfectly matched the office, the studio, and the exhibition space so that every ‘walk-in’ guest is welcome to stay and stroll around. In addition, craftsmanship and sustainability are an important part of our concept – every MoinDori is processed by hand before being punched, stitched and printed with great attention to detail. The leather comes from chemical-free tanneries in Germany.
In your opinion, how does your shop fit with Pickmotion and the Pickmotion products? How did you become aware of Pickmotion?
We got to know Pickmotion at the Nordstil fair and immediately fell in love with the designs because they fit perfectly with our notebooks due to their size and imagery. The cards and our books apparently are just simply made for each other.
What’s special about your shop? How do you use the advantage of being a steady retailer? How do you differentiate yourself from other shops and/or webshops?
We need the ‘space’ to make our handmade leather products and we welcome every customer who comes into the store to touch and feel the products. In addition, we have the special experience of occasionally taking a look at our work and the production of some goods in the studio. We differentiate ourselves from others by cultivating exceptional customer contact and producing and buying all materials locally. We shop in Germany and still produce everything by hand.
What do you like most about Pickmotion? Which products are your favourites?
We love the different designs, the city-related photos and we especially like the Mini-Picks. The slogans and lettering are humorous, motivating, appealing and always very popular with our customers. We also found the stickers very good and hope for a resumption.
