A bundle of energy with concentrated knowledge from the world of art, innovative ideas and a talent for planning and organization. But not only that, Elli is also a real globetrotter with a sense of responsibility because she pays close attention to her ecological footprint - an issue that is particularly important to her. Elli comes from a beautiful, historic town in Thuringia and the fact that she has been living in Berlin since 2013 is more of a coincidence, as she says. After completing her bachelor's degree in art history and educational sciences at the University of Jena, she moved to Dresden to study for her master's degree in art history, and from there ended up in Cork, Ireland via an Erasmus program. There she met her fiancé. And after an internship in Dublin, the two of them moved to Berlin - their favorite place to live and work.
When she arrived in Berlin, she delved deeper into the world of art. Starting as an art consulting intern in a gallery in the Hackesche Höfe, she worked her way up as a trainee in the portfolio, acquisition and proofing department to become a junior curator for a renowned gallery in Berlin-Mitte. During this time, she also discovered her passion and fascination for social media, which led her to later work as a social media manager in the eCommerce sector for a sustainable start-up.
In 2018, she and her partner set off on a big trip. A six-month break to discover Indonesia (especially Bali) and China - one of her highlights on this trip: the Great Wall of China. After that, they went a little further through Europe - hiking in Scotland, Ireland and Poland. She is a true nature lover, but she also has a soft spot for photography and lifestyle - preferably a mix, because she herself is also very active on Instagram as a lifestyle photographer. But what she spends most of her time doing is reading - she is a real bookworm and loves to devour classics or dystopias. She also likes to go to museums, wander around flea markets or enjoy a relaxed coffee in a bookstore.
Her big dreams include traveling to Japan, New Zealand and Australia and adopting a dog. In order to get a little closer to Japan, she has started to learn a little Japanese using a language learning app. And who knows, maybe she will even want to emigrate to her future husband's homeland of Ireland.
But for now we are really happy that she has found her way to us and that she will be with us for a long time to come, enriching the PICKMOTION family with her wide range of talents. Her favorite card with us? The ZG-0664-DE "small things, big happiness" (created with @wild.rocks ), which matches her attitude that she doesn't need much more than a good book to be happy.
