#MEETTHETEAM DAVID - ACTING AND JAPANLOGY

Jul 10, 2024Lorenz Hartmann

After graduating from high school, he went to Berlin to study, but not as one might expect for a business degree, no, David decided to study English and Japanese studies in the field of literature, language and culture - so his roots are in the humanities and social sciences. In the 17 years he has lived in Berlin, he has lived in several districts: Charlottenburg, Friedrichshain, Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte and now Lichtenberg. While still a student, he spent an Erasmus year in Hull, England.

David gained his first sales experience as a working student at Air Berlin. After completing his studies, he started working at Absolventa as a career changer in sales to pursue his career as a sales manager and in online marketing management. Before joining us at the beginning of October, he most recently worked at a digital advertising agency.

His great passions include cooking, (PC) gaming and watching football, the latter preferably in the stadium or in one of his favourite Werder Bremen pubs. In terms of cuisine, he likes Mediterranean or Asian dishes and when it comes to computer games, strategy and role-playing games are definitely among his favourites. Travelling is of course also one of his hobbies, but unfortunately he no longer has as much time for it as he used to. His favourite places to visit so far include Rome, Prague and Provence in France; Japan, New Zealand and New York are at the top of his wish list. A trip to Japan has been a dream since his student days.

David's secret, but currently dormant, passion is acting. For three years he acted regularly in the amateur theater of the Gorki Theater, when the rehearsal stage was still very close to our office on Antonplatz. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the time to pursue this passion at the moment, but if he finds a little more time, he would perhaps like to start again and of course travel more again.

His favorite card is the "Ahoi Seagull" - ZG-0475-DE by @meta_thesis , a clear statement from a native of Hamburg.
