Europe concentrated on a patch of Austrian soil. In her very own cosmopolitan city, Bregenz, she manages to combine design classics, antiques, fashion, literature and delicatessen in a way that makes her visitors dream of moving in. Sonja tells me what is behind it and what brings her concept store to life during a telephone conversation. You will also find out about her connection to Pickmotion and why our postcards are "heart openers" for her and her customers.
Live music, for example from DJ Soul Brigada or the Eastern European musicians Urbana, art exhibitions, night shopping, saunas outside, dancing inside – Schoscha offers a space to come together. New event opportunities open up automatically, Sonja keeps getting requests and appreciates the lively atmosphere. "I put antique Italian furniture in front of designer wallpaper and above it shine both 60s lamps and antique chandeliers." The decorations are made of velvet, fur, coarse fabrics, old wood, glass, metal, colorful and monochrome. "Most people think that these things don't go together, but when they see it, they're impressed." All the products are arranged like an apartment. Sonja does it effortlessly, it's her thing.
She brings her essential inspiration from her travels to the place, which itself radiates peace, nature and stability. Sonja wants to keep it moving with Schoscha's uniqueness, young and not yet very well-known European labels, the products that are available for the first time in the tranquil town, the region or all of Austria. "Far away from the mainstream" is another feature of the furniture store, which wants to be more and rightly attracts many different visitors. It only gets brilliant reviews on Facebook. A favorite store.
This is how Pickmotion and Schoscha found each other. We have been living the spirit of the times for four years, we have gone our own way, we look for the most innovative, poetic, fun-loving photos on Instagram. Our postcards in the Polaroid look are intended to reflect this and make photography tangible. We also try to combine things. Sonja found our products and knew her customers would appreciate them. And that's exactly what happened: "Your cards convey passion, friendliness, and a human, warm, lovely feeling - heart openers!"
Her favorite card is a classic, B-101 "life is confetti." One of our first city cards, taken in Berlin, of course. This card has a special connection with her, "because it is suitable for every occasion, even mourning." It was a particular joy to learn that our postcards are the most frequently purchased cards in Sonja's large, diverse shop! Schoscha is like a suitcase packed full of unique items and products that people stand behind out of conviction. Just like Sonja is for Schoscha and the attitude to life that she gives to her original shop.
