Would you like to introduce yourself briefly? Who are you, where do you come from, what do you like to do in your free time?
I am a Christian, I am 28 years old and I originally come from near Münster.
In my free time I like to do something creative, be it painting, sewing or other fun DIY projects. And when I've had enough of that, I love exploring parts of Berlin that I don't know yet.
How long have you been at Pickmotion and what exactly are your tasks?
I started working as a graphic designer at Pickmotion in winter 2018 and am mainly involved in creating and illustrating new products.

You have already created many beautiful designs for our little cards and magnets - do you have a favorite theme that you like to work on and maybe even a favorite design of yours?
I love working on birthday cards the most, because they are always particularly colorful, with lots of confetti, balloons and cake. One of my favorite images is the motif with the astronauts and the birthday cake (MP-0780-DE) from the new collection. It's just fun to watch the little astronauts and imagine how they build the birthday cake all the way into space.

The small cards are designed with watercolors, drawings or digital tools. How do you decide which style is best for the motif? Is there a style that you particularly like to use?
I actually always decide intuitively. First I sketch out all the ideas that come into my head and then I think about which style would best suit this sketch.
Personally, I love creating illustrations in watercolors and then refining them digitally. This gives the drawings a particularly exciting structure.
What special attention should be paid to when designing small cards?
Above all, the small cards are meant to be fun to look at. They often tell a little story with just one picture, which is meant to make the viewer smile. If the gold accents match the motif, everything is great!

You also have a private account on Instagram @christinvoscort.art where you have shared many wonderful watercolor paintings of yours! Would you like to tell us a bit more about it? What exactly do you share there and why?
My private work is very different from what I draw for Pickmotion. In my free time I mostly paint portraits with acrylic paint and share them on Instagram, but it is precisely this contrast that makes it particularly exciting for me and is a nice change.
I love to constantly reinvent myself creatively and I would like to share that with others through my Instagram account and inspire people to do their own thing.

Do you also like to use Instagram as a source of inspiration? Where else do you find inspiration?
Instagram is a great source of inspiration and I follow a lot of artists there for daily creative input. But other platforms like Pinterest or TikTok are also really exciting places where I can get inspiration and come up with new ideas.
What kind of motifs can we look forward to in the new collection?
It will be colorful and exciting! Many illustrators and designers are working closely together to make the new collection as diverse as possible. From cute animals to camping adventures to lovely wedding cards - and all in different art styles - there is something for everyone.
