ALADIIA: “I WANT TO GET TO KNOW CRAZY PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF”

ALADIIA: “I WANT TO GET TO KNOW CRAZY PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF”

Sheila, who came from the animal shelter at the age of one and a half and is now 4 years old, is still a constant in Antje's stream. She says: "For me, Sheila is one of the biggest inspirations. Taking photos for and especially with her is always an experience. Luckily she has no idea about her 'fame'. The treats are much better." @aladiia carefully and thoughtfully sets up photo sets with the dog before quickly taking 10 to 15 pictures. There are a few tricks, for example the word "Frisbee" (Sheila's favorite game) leads to a funny turn of the head, but a lot of it, like a yawn, is simply down to chance.

The Samsung snapshooter, who has also been to Ireland for Samsung, has tried out different styles in her gallery - first it was walks with Sheila in black and white. The thing with the red umbrella also somehow took on a life of its own, and she was featured in the Spiegel magazine for it. "I see myself in good company on Instagram - many particularly successful things do not come from conventional photographers. I see lines because I come from a graphic design background. I see things differently than a photographer or a portraitist."

Antje loves mobile photography because of its limitations. "It's the art of playing with what you have." For years she has observed how Instagram has become a pioneer for trends and connected the world globally. "How do Japanese, Spanish, French, Americans see the world? - Getting to know people who are just as crazy as I am, that's Instagram for me!" And despite the recent noticeable drop in likes and the strong push for video content, Antje is planning a new dreamy and fairytale series with Sheila and Schirm, but she won't reveal any more than that yet.

“I love photos where you can see that the photographer has put a lot of thought into the composition of his photos. I don't care about the size of the accounts. The main thing is that the photos appeal to me.

@uwa2000 with her melancholy in the photos,
@palomaparrot with the wonderful minimalism,
@shineonyoucraydiamond for your great ideas,
@dieseensucht with her loving photos of her dog and her knitting and
