For over 100 years, International Women's Day has taken place around the world on March 8. On this day, the achievements of women's rights movements to date are celebrated, while also attention to the inequalities and discrimination that still prevail today is drawn. Milestones such as women's suffrage in Europe and equal rights in the German constitution prove that women have a hell of a lot going for them and earn so much more than they usually get. In many countries and regions, women's rights are unfortunately still not a matter of course and even in Europe there is still a lot of catching up to do - but we are not giving up and will continue to fight for equal rights!
