Hi Gito, it’s great talking to you! First of all, could you tell us a little bit about yourself? Who are you, where do you come from, where do you live now? Tell us a little about your personal background!
Hello everyone! I'm Gito Trismanto, I was born in Indonesia, precisely in West Java. I graduated from high school majoring in multimedia in 2020. I am now 19 years old.
What exactly do you do for a living? When did you start with photography?
I work in a local clothing company in Bandung, West Java. I started to get into photography when I was still in vocational high school because in the department there were lots of photographers and graphic designers. I sometimes like to combine photos and graphic design, it's really fun!
Your pictures are very minimalistic and sometimes contain unusual motifs, such as a giraffe or zebra which is so cool to look at! How did you develop your style?
I really like to blend my objects into the center of pictures such as giraffes and zebras. I really like the theme of minimalism with small objects in the middle. When I look for ideas, I like to browse through Instagram or the web in general.
Is there a special meaning you try to convey through your pictures?
There is no special meaning in my pictures. When I have an idea, I have to write it down to make a photo (laughs).
Could you tell us a bit about your creation process? How do you get your ideas and how do you edit your pictures?
I always edit using Adobe Photoshop and a little bit of Adobe Lightroom. When I edit, I always look for or see other people's work for reference, usually I look at 7 to 8 photos for reference while editing.
What inspires you and why?
I always like to look at Andhikaramadhian's Instagram. He is very phenomenal with extraordinary works. His works are very pleasing to the eye, so I am inspired by him a lot.
How and why did you start using Instagram as a platform to share your photography?
I like the Instagram application; I like to share my photos there. I just want my work to be seen by many people. That’s it. However, I had to make a new account. My new Instagram name is @wwo.nee because I forgot the password for wwonine when I replaced my cellphone with a new one (laughs).
Do you have a favorite photograph of yours? Can you tell us the story behind it?
My favorite photo is probably the giraffe because it's my first work and also my first work to collaborate with Pickmotion.
Could you name some of your favorite Instagrammers who inspire you?
My favorite Instagrammer is @andhikaramadhian and everything with minimalism!
Did you know Pickmotion before we started our collaboration? If yes, how did you become aware of us?
I didn't know this company before, but when I got a message and the company wanted to collaborate, I was very happy! I didn't expect my work to be selected, I only shared my photos, nothing else, but this company gave me the opportunity to continue sharing my photos.
Would you like to share a little anecdote or story with us? Please feel free to tell us anything!
I just want to say thank you to this company for collaborating with me, honestly this is my first collaboration with a company, the Pickmotion team is very friendly and always asks how I am.
