His first assignment came from STA Travel, for whom he travelled around the world in 100 days - a great opportunity for the 27-year-old to demonstrate his skills as a photographer of lively street scenes, breathtaking landscapes and warm encounters.
The route took him from Singapore, the Philippines, China and Australia via the USA to Costa Rica, Mexico and Brazil. Moritz can therefore provide information on how to get around the blocked internet services in China, travel with two passports and quickly get a visa for the States. But he also captured many encounters with people and never lost his good mood, even when he became a much sought-after photo trophy in China...
@mori_tz comes from a very creative family. He recently shared photos of his 90-year-old grandmother on Instagram. The lady still cuts delicate paper cuts. "As soon as she holds the scissors in her hand," he says of her, "she gets a steady hand."
The communication designer admires the classic reportage photographers of the Leica era and you can see that a little in his composition. The trip resulted in new projects for dedon, urban outfitters and foodora, among others. "You are developing so much," he enthuses. But he recharges his batteries with friends and family in Lüneburg - "I may not be homeless, but I am constantly on the move" - which is why a permanent studio is unthinkable for him.
