Ulrike was born on the outskirts of Berlin and grew up in Rüdersdorf. She studied public administration here in Berlin and decided to go into human resources at an early age. She particularly likes HR because of the combination of contact with lots of exciting people and their stories and the administrative work, which Ulrike also likes to do quite consciously behind her computer. After gaining a wide range of experience in a start-up, at the employment agency and at the online marketplace Wimdu, she is now looking forward to the exciting field of work at PICKMOTION.
Her favorite place in Berlin is also her home: Karlshorst, which she lovingly describes as a village in the city. Here she finds the perfect balance between peace and bustle. Ulrike can hardly imagine moving away. In her free time, she likes to take advantage of Berlin's wide range of leisure activities, try out new restaurants or enjoy the greenery of the city with her daughter, her husband and Labrador dog Hemingway.
However, if she ever moves away from Berlin, Ulrike would move to New York. At the age of 24, she did an internship there at the National Association of Mother's Centers. During that time, she learned a lot and fell in love with the Big Apple. The atmosphere, the colorful life in the many different districts and the impressive skyscraper jungle - all of these things fascinated her. She is a huge USA fan and one of her favorite vacations was a trip through the States on her honeymoon.
When she needs a break, she likes to travel to Italy with her family or visit one of the many beautiful cities in Europe. She doesn't like just lazing around on the beach - because you won't find adventures there. You'll find them if you just look left and right. Ulrike thinks that exciting things often happen on their own. Rigid goals and too much determination, on the other hand, only lead to you not being able to enjoy life and its many wonderful moments to the fullest.
This philosophy of happiness is also reflected in her favorite card, the ZG-0303-EN, designed with @runnerkimhall .
