Tjard, a native Berliner and trained photographer with a degree from the Lette-Verein Berlin, has lived in the capital since he was born and has called Weissensee his home for a while now, where he particularly appreciates the proximity to the lake. After several years as a photographer and in marketing in the Berlin club scene, he moved to Pickmotion, where he is now the creative head for images and text.
Even in his private life, photography is still one of Tjard's greatest passions, especially analogue photography and working in the darkroom. Tjard also loves outdoor activities such as canoeing and hiking. Other hobbies include squash, yoga and, more recently, jogging - around the white lake, of course.
If he could save one situation from his life as a video forever, he would most like to think back to a moment in a tree house near a meadow.
His motto in life, “Be 1% better every day than the day before,” reflects his constant drive for self-improvement.
Vegan dino nuggets, kohlrabi and non-alcoholic wheat beer are a must in his fridge. Friends and family describe him as humorous, open and relaxed.
His favorite PICKMOTION motif is the deeply relaxed panda (ZG-1522 by @dafnaphotography), which for him radiates calm and serenity and with which he can easily identify.
