Silvana was born in Switzerland, but has lived in her beloved city of Berlin since 2008. She lives happily in the Speckgürtel district with her wonderful patchwork family and loves the mix of country life and being close to the city. What makes Berlin so special for her is its diversity: she loves spending Sundays in Mauerpark, enjoying the evening on the banks of the Spree or discovering the culinary diversity in Kreuzberg. As is often the case, dinner on the road usually ends up being her favorite kebab.
Silvana actually studied art history and journalism for years, but then realized that she wasn't happy in that direction. So she worked as a salesperson in a children's toy retailer - where our beautiful Pickmotion postcards were also available! As fate would have it, she finally came to work for us after a few years and now supports our team in the ordering process!
To balance out her time in the office, Silvana loves to be really active in her free time. That's why she likes to go running or cycling, sometimes she just runs through the city and discovers new corners or collects fresh mushrooms in the forest. In 2019 she even took part in the Berlin Marathon and despite a previous injury and the associated break, she made it across the finish line, which is something to be very proud of! When she has some time at home, Silvana also likes to bake - although she wouldn't describe herself as a sweet tooth. Fortunately, she always finds reliable customers in her family. What also always makes Silvana happy is the opportunity to go to a live concert of her favorite rock or metal bands!
Her favorite Pickmotion motif is the flying house (ZG-0243), which we designed with @hey.luisa . For her, it symbolizes imagination, freedom and the courage to dream and fits perfectly with her life motto: "Be brave and listen to your heart!" She believes that life is too short to be unhappy and not dare to make new starts. We are very happy to have such a motivated and adventurous person on the team and look forward to our adventures together!
