“Christmas in a Shoebox” is a worldwide campaign that surprises children in need with special gifts on Christmas Day. Everyone is invited to take an empty shoebox, decorate it festively and fill it with practical and, above all, beautiful gifts for a child. As a special Christmas, we at PICKMOTION therefore met in the office at the beginning of December and armed ourselves with shoeboxes, colorful wrapping paper and lots of gifts to wrap together!
The Pickmotion team decorates and packs shoe boxes
Before the presents could be handed out, each shoebox had to be beautifully decorated. Everyone decorated a box with Christmas wrapping paper, glue and scissors so that they would bring joy from the outside and arouse curiosity about the contents. Finally, the inside was filled with colourful tissue paper before the boxes were ready to be filled. In addition to many helpful gifts, such as toothbrushes, creams or small towels, each box was also filled with a drawing pad, colourful pens and sweets. On top of that, everyone on the team brought their own little wow gift that was intended to give the child receiving the gift a very special treat: from board games to Playmobil sets and soft cuddly toys, there was a nice surprise for everyone. Of course, there were also Christmas cards from PICKMOTION, which everyone personalized with a small personal message, sweet drawings or glittery stickers.

At the end of the day we had packed 38 shoeboxes. The presents are now travelling to Eastern Europe and will hopefully bring great joy to many boys and girls. With this in mind, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and lots of joy giving gifts, doing good and enjoying.
