Hi Gito, it's nice talking to you! Would you like to introduce yourself first? Who are you, where are you from, where do you live now? Tell us a bit about your personal background!
Hello everyone! I'm Gito Trismanto, I was born in Indonesia, more precisely in West Java. In 2020 I graduated from high school with a focus on multimedia. I am now 19 years old.
What exactly do you do for a living? When did you start taking photographs?
I work in a local clothing company in Bandung, West Java. I started photography when I was still in vocational school because there were many photographers and graphic designers in the department. Sometimes I like to combine photography and graphic design, it's really fun!
Your pictures are very minimalistic and sometimes contain unusual motifs, such as a giraffe or a zebra, which are so cool to look at! How did you develop your style?
I really like to place my objects like giraffes and zebras in the middle of the pictures. I really like the theme of minimalism with small objects in the middle. When I'm looking for ideas, I like to browse Instagram or the internet in general and that's how my ideas come about.
Are you trying to convey a certain meaning with your images?
There is no special meaning in my pictures. When I have an idea, I have to write it down to take a photo later (laughs).
Would you like to tell us a little about your creative process? How do you come up with your ideas and how do you edit your images?
I always edit my images using Adobe Photoshop and a little bit of Adobe Lightroom. When editing, I always look at other people's work for reference. I usually look at 7 to 8 photos for reference while editing.
What inspires you and why?
I always love to check out Andhikaramadhian 's Instagram account. He is very phenomenal with exceptional work. His work is very pleasing to the eye, so he inspires me a lot.
When and why did you start using Instagram as a platform to share your pictures?
I like the Instagram app; I like sharing my photos there. I just want my work to be seen by many people. That's it. However, I had to create a new account. My new Instagram name is @wwo.nee because I forgot the password for wwonine when I replaced my phone with a new one (laughs).
Do you have a favorite photo of yourself? Can you tell us the story behind it?
My favorite photo is probably the one of the giraffe because it is my first work and also the first picture that I have in collaboration with Pickmotion!
Can you tell us some of your favorite Instagrammers who inspire you?
My favorite Instagrammer is @andhikaramadhian and everything minimalism!
Did you know about Pickmotion before we started working together? If so, how did you find out about us?
I didn't know the company before, but when I received a message saying they wanted to work with me, I was very happy! I didn't expect my work to be selected, I just shared my photos, nothing else. But this company gave me the opportunity to continue sharing my photos.
Would you like to share a little anecdote or story with us at the end? Feel free to tell us whatever comes to mind!
I would like to thank this company for working with me. Honestly, this is my first time working with a company, the Pickmotion team is very friendly and always asks how I am.
