What is the basic concept of your store, what do you want to convey?
Selekteur's goal is to offer only high-quality products with soul that don't end up in the bin after one season. Selekteur offers timeless classics from the areas of clothing and accessories, stationery, small furniture and children's toys, mainly from European manufacturers. The Selekteur team has made it their mission to establish high-quality products with character in Düsseldorf's retail sector. We spend a lot of time studying the products in advance and only include those in the range that we are 100% convinced of in terms of quality and appearance.
In your opinion, how do you fit into Pickmotion and how did you come across Pickmotion?
The products from Pickmotion fit perfectly into our concept. Selekteur and Pickmotion both focus on beauty – not necessarily in the classic run-of-the-mill sense, but rather on establishing beautiful things in everyday life. Beauty, creativity and sustainability go hand in hand at both Pickmotion and Selekteur and form a symbiosis that
our customers attach great importance to.
What is special about your shop? How do you combine art and culture?
The focus at Selekteur is on traditional brands with long-established manufacturers, almost exclusively in Europe plus a few in the USA and Japan. The products have to convince us and be fun. We have set ourselves the goal of offering a consistently high-quality selection of beautiful products. In addition to everyday objects, this also includes small art. Pickmotion is a great way for us to express ourselves. Snapshots that put a smile on people's faces - what could be better? Culture means experiencing: we have beautiful travel guides and illustrated books that allow our customers to experience new places.
