Roza was born and raised in Prague but was able to travel a lot with her parents during her childhood. Thanks to that, she spent a few years in Germany and France before moving to Scotland to study illustration. She also used to live in New Zealand for a while, where she met many wonderful people. After her studies, Roza wanted to move closer to her hometown, but she didn't want to move back to Prague. So, she decided to move to Berlin, not only because the city is diverse and beautiful, but also because it is only a few hours by train from Prague!
Her favourite spot in Berlin is Neukölln and especially Tempelhofer Feld as it feels like being in an oasis even though you’re in the middle of a big city. It also offers enough space to go roller skating in the summer and to watch cute dogs - two things Roza loves to do in her spare time! When Roza isn't at Tempelhofer Feld, she likes to go to the cinema, discover new parts of Berlin or search for the best banh mis (a delicious Vietnamese street food) in town. She also loves to be exotic at home and always has a jar of spicy kimchi in her fridge.
As Roza has already seen quite a lot of the world, one of her favourite PICKMOTION cards is "Home is where you park it" (MP-0836-EN), designed by our illustrator Rachel. The saying on the card really speaks from her heart as she has been able to call so many beautiful places home already. We are very excited to be a part of Roza's new home and look forward to seeing all the beautiful illustrations she will create!
