WHERE EXACTLY IS YOUR SHOP LOCATED? HOW DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Our shop is located in Zirndorf, a beautiful and historic small town at the western gates of Nuremberg, in which half-timbered houses and sandstone buildings shape the townscape. Not far from the Bibert, the beautiful river that crosses the city, our shop is easily accessible, right near one of the main roads. We as “erlebe wigner!” are a fashion and lifestyle store with our own restaurant, a cultural stage and a workshop and studio room.
WHAT IS THE BASIC CONCEPT OF YOUR STORE?
In a world that is becoming more and more complex, over-communicated, critical of consumption, but also full of pressure, the design of brick-and-mortar stores as a “third place” offers a great opportunity for differentiation. We are consistently developing the department store into a temporary personal living space for our guests. In the experience concept, we combine the longing for truthfulness, authenticity, closeness, with entertainment that shows honest feelings, uses real materials in the shop design and is a massage for the soul in stressed everyday life. In our business, we dissolve boundaries by merging several processes that previously only occurred separately. As an owner-managed company with around 55 employees, our concept store offers over 100 different events and workshops every year. Customers can experience the inter-media connection between literature, acting, music, visual arts and workshops in an incomparable way. The conversation, the direct contact between artists and spectators, employees of the house who also lead workshops for customers, is unique in this form in Germany and has been very successful with it for many years. Our maxim is to get people out of their everyday lives and let them dream. Our house is also a successful art and cultural site that is highly valued by both artists and our customers. The total area of the concept store is 2500m2, of which 500m2 can be converted into an event area through our hybrid usage concept. Almost three years ago we founded the association “Kunst und Kultur erleben Zirndorf e.V.”, which now has 2,279 members.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR SHOP? HOW DO YOU USE THE ADVANTAGES OF STATIONARY RETAIL? HOW DO YOU DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF FROM OTHER SHOPS AND/OR WEB SHOPS?
Very few companies can differentiate themselves from the competition through product and service. As soon as the customer is faced with a selection situation and does not see any difference in the product or service level, the customer naturally decides on the cheapest provider. That is why companies must be able to continuously delight customers with moments of surprise. For a successful differentiation from the competition, an emotional connection to the customer is required. Here we convince with personality, excellent performance and a curated range with added value for the customer. And furthermore, we also have a really great magazine for our customers.
