The Romanian city is full of bright colours at every turn and with its rustic charm, it is stunningly beautiful on top of that. The well preserved old town gives you all those fairytale vibes and has even been made a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Sintra, Portugal
Sintra looks quite frankly like a place that tales are made off. With parks that look like mythical forests but especially with the Palácio Nacional da Pena, the most Disney-esque castle ever, you won’t stop being amazed by this city. It’s also fairly close to Lisbon which is another great and colourful city, giving you the perfect opportunity for a little road trip and Portuguese getaway.
Copenhagen, Denmark
Even on a rainy Autumn day, the colourful facades of Copenhagen never fail to brighten your mood. The Danish capital is filled with colourful houses, and especially Nyhavn is a famous place for tourists to get those extra bright and fun pictures for their Instagram feed. There is also an amusement park right in the middle of the city for even more amazement.
Menton, France
While France is a tourist magnet, the beautiful town of Menton remains one of the most underrated spots. Yet, the coloured houses all painted in lovely warm tones are a great sight to marvel at and especially the waterfront at the French Riviera make for a great photo location.
Burano, Italy
Italy is full of colourful and picturesque cities but one lesser known is the lovely town of Burano. The island in the northern Venetian Lagoon is famous for its brightly coloured houses and handmade lace and is a great location for a short Italian dream vacation.
